March 2016 meeting

Bowling, beer and bangers (and some wine too, of course) went down well together at the Wine Club's March skittles event.

The venue - which we hadn't tried for a number of years - was the British Legion Club in Limpsfield and it made for a very successful evening. 

Twenty-two members made up five teams (this month's puzzle - how to divide 22 into a number of equal sets) and were able to play four rounds each, players getting noticeably more daring as time went by. The winning team, with 123 points, was Eileen, Isobel, Barry and Derek, thanks in no small measure to Derek's best individual score of the evening, an impressive 31. 

The supper was much enjoyed - especially 'the best chips ever'.

A big thank you to Mo for making the arrangements and to Graham for driving us there.

We meet next on 5th April for a "Continental themed evening", 8.00 pm at the Nutfield Church Centre.
