For our September Meeting we were due to hold a Race Night (no, not between members but for horse racing!) However, due to unforeseen circumstances this had to be postponed at short notice and we were able to organise a (very) informal Quiz and Game evening instead.
We commenced with a Beetle Drive, which resulted in some highly amusing drawings of beetles, but no driving!! We had four rounds of quizzes - on London, General Knowledge, European Geography and Anagrams of Towns and Cities in the UK. All members did extremely well, but overall Francis, Pat and Liz just pipped the other teams as the highest scorers.
For our October Meeting we will welcome back our guest speaker, Max Conrad, for a wine tasting session.
The club was founded in 1977 and meets once a month (except August), usually with a guest speaker or wine expert.
