April 2016 meeting

A "Continental-themed evening" was the Wine Club's April event. Nineteen members brought along and shared an interesting selection of continental delicacies - pain au chocolat, olivado and other more or less familiar treats, such as olives wrapped in anchovies, and a fine choice of cold meats and cheeses. 

These were enjoyed to the accompaniment of wines and beers from Europe, and a selection of Eurovision songs playing in the background.

Meanwhile a challenging quiz provided food for thought, too, and much discussion. The quiz winners were the foursome Mo and Chris, Denise and Francis.

A country walk to a pub is scheduled for May 10th (Note - not the first Tuesday, which follows the bank holiday.) – Details depend on weather, members will be advised nearer the date.
