All enjoyed the relaxing summer venue in warm temperatures, and the tasty BBQ food cooked by OCC’s Debbie. Thanks to members for their delicious food contributions, including Sarah’s cheese platter, and Graham and Caroline’s naughty but nice chocolate fountain.
Thanks to Graham and Janet for transport, Maureen for organising the food, and Mary and Derek for the raffle. All enjoyed some live music provided by members Graham, Francis, and guest Colin. Proud Mary was On the Road Again or on a Freight Train under Blue Skies. There were Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain as I’ll never find another you. Unfortunately the band’s 2nd set clashed with the Football World Cup, so members missed out on Flying to the Moon, or 3 Steps to Heaven, etc.
We next meet on August 11th for a vineyard tour and tasting.
Our club is an informal one, which enjoys wine, food, and good company. There is only a nominal members’ annual fee, and a very low charge for certain events.
