The club was founded in 1977 and meets once a month (except August), usually with a guest speaker or wine expert. December 2014 meeting
The Wine Club's Christmas party, at the Christchurch Centre on 2nd December, gathered together twenty-six members and friends. The evening was launched with a welcoming seasonal mulled wine, followed by an excellent buffet supper, for which members displayed their usual culinary skills. Accordionist Anthony Bryan added to the enjoyment, especially when he played some waltzes and reels for a few energetic dancers.
