There were a range of routes to suit all abilities. The evening was cool, but at least it stayed dry, and we were warm by the time we arrived at The Plough at St John’s. There we enjoyed a range of wines, ales and ciders, and food.
“A decorative bird box trail has been installed on Earlswood Common, with a total of 23 eye-catching nest boxes installed around the lake paths. The bird boxes themselves were made by the Men in Sheds group, and were then decorated by local artists and some of the council’s own Greenspaces staff. The finished items were put up in February [2018].” One quirky birdbox used a teapot. We didn’t stick to the birdbox trail, but did spot about 10.
