The nature ramble planned for the Club in April had unfortunately to be cancelled: the lack of growing weather meant that the farm we were to visit had nothing for us to see. We have been invited to consider a visit later in the year.
Instead, 30 members gathered in the Village Hall for a social evening of bingo, a quiz and the fish and chip supper we had intended to have in the barn at Bower Hill Farm. Our thanks to Heather, Chris and Suzanne, Peter and Jenny for their help in making the evening go so well.
May's event - Tuesday 7th - is the Tipplers' Stroll, starting at 7.30 pm at Merrydown, in Church Hill. Our three hosts are neighbours so the stroll will in fact be very short.
The club was founded in 1977 and meets once a month (except August), usually with a guest speaker or wine expert. April meeting changed
Due to weather conditions our Nature Ramble is postponed until warmer times.
We are now meeting at the Nutfield Village Hall, (main hall) Mid Street, South Nutfield - 8pm.
Fish and chip supper is still on the menu!
